This was the first complete web and print package I created while doing business as Shinza.net, a web and print media consultancy. They loved the results and contracted ongoing services to provide system administration, site maintenance, and another site package for their e401k product.

Net.World

HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Photoshop. My first experience contracting through an agency. I coded and launched products for Net.World. This was an interesting contract as I was hired to produce sites not only for the company but for their clients as well. Both Net.World and my contract agency took hefty cuts. Seeing the redundancy and overmanagement in this gig inspired me to start my own consultancy.

HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Photoshop, Copyright Research. Not only did we design and code the product but we also helped defend it against billion-dollar competitor Fidelity Investments. Fresh out of an intellectual property law class at U.C. Berkeley I created a legal brief citing relevant case law that was used by our copyright attorney to force Fidelity investments to cease and desist infringing upon our e401k trademark.

HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Photoshop. Extension 11, a subsidiary of Net.World specialized in the creation, design and branding of multimedia products. I worked on two projects, their corporate site, and their proto-social media app Cahoots.

Interplas.com

HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Photoshop. This site was the first self-contained dot com site I ever implemented. The site was subcontracted to me by Simeone Design. Over 10,000 hits later and the client is still satisfied. A Faustian bargain, after accepting the contract I was forced to pit ethics against integrity when I discovered that I was creating a site for a company that outsources labor for pennies on the dollar to create plastic products. In the end, professionalism won out.

DanceSafe.org

HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Photoshop. Dancesafe is an international non-profit agency that promotes harm prevention in the festival, rave and nightclub dance scenes. As Webmaster for dancesafe I was responsible for all updates and additions to the existing site. I implemented source control procedures, added search functionality and helped maintain site integrity.
